Since 1973, Catholic Church of the Resurrection has been serving the Hickory Hill community within the City of Memphis. Our mission is to not only proclaim the Good News, but also live it through the programs, retreats, missions and special projects organized throughout the year. Furthermore, we seek to provide a safe and inclusive space for our parishioners and visitors to freely worship. It is also our vision to bring down silos based on skin color, language, and country of origin through events that welcome everyone of all backgrounds and ages.

Resurrection Catholic Church has a longstanding reputation for its diversity. Our Staff, Lay Servers and parishoners come from countries such as Mexico, Italy, Philippines, El Salvador, Guatemala, Columbia, Vietnam just to name a few. Catholic means "Universal" and we truly feel our church in Hickory Hill reflects the true identity of the Catholic Church.
THE IMPORTANCE OF ATTENDING A PARISH
2179 "A parish is a definite community of the Christian faithful established on a stable basis within a particular church; the pastoral care of the parish is entrusted to a pastor as its own shepherd under the authority of the diocesan bishop." It is the place where all the faithful can be gathered together for the Sunday celebration of the Eucharist. The parish initiates the Christian people into the ordinary expression of the liturgical life: it gathers them together in this celebration; it teaches Christ's saving doctrine; it practices the charity of the Lord in good works and brotherly love:
